New Enabling Visions and tools for End-useRs

WHY NEVERMORE

According to the UN Secretary-General, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)
Sixth Assessment Report (2021) is a “code red for humanity”. Human-induced climate change is already affecting many extreme weather and climate phenomena in every region of the world. It is, thus, essential to work for a climate-resilient society.
This entails mitigating the climate change impacts, which are making themselves felt already, and aiming at climate neutrality.
The COVID-19 pandemic has further highlighted the importance of improved translations of scientific insights into policy and social practice. NEVERMORE acknowledges that policymakers and civil society must spearhead climate change action based on scientific knowledge.

COUNCILS OF STAKEHOLDERS

By establishing five Local and Transnational Stakeholder Councils, the project ensures the active involvement of public and private actors in the co-design, co-creation and co-assessment of social innovation-based activities.

The Local Councils in the five case studies and the Transnationalone will be crucial grounds for understanding and mapping the needs and interests of different actors related to climate change and modelling approaches as well as promoting the adoption of climate change decision support tools by relevant stakeholders and the general public.
